DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

Welcome to St. Kanzian on the Klopeinersee! Situated in the southernmost region of Austria, the Klopeinersee has water temperatures of 28 degrees, making it the warmest natural thermal lake in Europe. It's simply wonderful to swim here. <br> This accommodation has a convenient central location: it?s just 80m from the lake and within minutes (on foot) from several shops and all the tourist establishments. The well-kept, private child-friendly beach can be reached on foot in 2-3 minutes. <br> The Klopeinersee offers a beautiful nature accessible by numerous trails. Here you can enjoy adventurous hikes as well as the protected Natura 2000 areas. The baker brings fresh bread (daily) and other delicacies for the guests of the apartment. Next to the house there is a supermarket (one minutes? walk). Here you can buy whatever you need. <br> The cozy arbor of the house serves as the place for an organized evening barbecue. Here you can taste the specialties of the region.

This apartment consists of 1 room and can accommodate two persons. It has a total area of 30 m2 and includes a furnished balcony with parasol. In the kitchen area you will find pots and pans, dishes, a coffeemaker, toaster and kitchen towels. The living / sleeping area is furnished with a bed (including bedding), a dining table with two chairs and a TV with more than 100 channels. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink and towels. There is also a separate toilet.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

South Carinthia / Klopeiner Sea is the most popular Austrian tourist destination after Vienna and Salzburg. The region is known for its numerous opportunities for sporting activities such as biking, hiking, golf, mountain climbing and caving. You will find a wide range of hiking / mountain bike trails as well as lakes and parks. The area features seven lakes (including the Völkermarkter Stausee, Turnersee and Klopeinersee) with excellent water quality and a water temperature of 28 degrees. With a high number of sunny days this is a wonderful place to swim. Of course you can also enjoy various water sports including sailing, windsurfing and even scuba diving. The 800km long network of hiking trails takes you through a scenic landscape at an altitude of between 440 and 2139 meters. In the evening you can end your day with a stroll along the promenade which runs around the entire Lake Klopeiner. 30km away lies the city of Klagenfurt. <br> A promenade with Haflinger horses in Ilsenhof is a special experience for both young and old. Enjoy the scenery near the Turnersee from a totally different perspective! You can take riding lessons with from qualified instructors and children can take pony riding lessons. In the city of Globasnitz awaits a fairytale-like castle, just as in the stories: Castle Elberstein. A skilled carpenter named Johann Elbe built this castle-like building with his own hands. The work took years, and now the 7-towered structure is a popular tourist landmark. In the bird sanctuary of the Turnersee you can see a variety of exotic and native birds ? great for bird-watchers.
