DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

: Loich is situated in a valley of the upper Pielach River, at an altitude of 442 meters. Here you will find an unspoiled nature which is perfect for an idyllic holiday getaway, especially when compared to other mass tourism destinations. In the village of Loich you will find everything you need: shops, church, school, kindergarten and wellness center, and its only one hour away from Vienna (by car). In the garden of the house there is a large swimming pool plus a swing, sandbox and dollhouse for the children to play with. Furthermore, in the village there is no traffic so it is safe for children. There is a small farm which has two miniature ponies, cats and dwarf rabbits so children will not have the opportunity to become bored. You can take long walks or go on hikes from Eisenstein to Ötscher. There is also the opportunity to climb mountains or enjoy mountain biking. You can choose from 7 different mountain bike trails, the closest lying immediately in front of the house. You can take a trip on the "Mariazellbahn” train or (on weekends) with the Schmankerl Express, a blend of nostalgia and romance. There are 13 different stables in the vicinity, the closest has an indoor riding school. The "Nixhöhle" is a stalactite formation of snow-white limestone and is situated just 10km away. You will also find numerous attractions in the immediate vicinity or slightly further away. The house is an ideal starting point for trips to: Vienna, the capital of Austria; the famous pilgrimage site of Mariazell; the "Lunzer See"; the "Ötscher", the highest peak in the area, "Mostviertel"; and to the famous wine growing area of "Wachau an der Donau".

This is a cozy and romantic furnished accommodation suitable for two persons. It has a separate living room which can be used as a second bedroom. It has a television and telephone. There is one bathroom equipped with a shower plus there is a separate toilet. In the cozy hobby and sports room, located on the first floor, there is an exercise bike that shows your speed and distance traveled as well as the number of calories you have burned. There is also a Chi machine available. Please feel free to use the equipment for your health and well being!

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

Visit the first llama ranch in Austria, the "Lama Wanderland" in Diesendorf. Here you can trek slowly through the wonderful landscape of Mostviertel with a llama (on a rope). The llamas will carry your luggage, while you stop and enjoy the exceptionally beautiful views or simply escape the everyday hustle and bustle of life and relax a bit. The wine area of the Wachau valley, situated between Melk and Krems, is probably the most beautiful part along the Danube. Because of its unique beauty, the 36 km river valley has been added to UNESCO’s world heritage list. Welcome everyone to the bright silver "Lunzer See"! Enjoy the summer temperatures at Seebad Lunzer (Lower Lunz Lake): There are three diving boards available and plenty of sunbathers on the platform. The lake is 120 km from Vienna. Vienna has many beautiful buildings dating from the Roman-German times as well as the period of Imperial Austria. Most attractions are open year round. Among the most popular are: “der Stephansdom” (St. Stephens Cathedral); Schönbrunn Palace and Zoo; the Art History Museum; the "Hofburg"; the "Riesenrad" and the “Museumquarier”, the 8th largest cultural area in the world. You can use a cab to visit the downtown area and the old city. In the center of the town there is the "Stephansdom". Of course Vienna also enjoys a reputation as a music city (it was in Vienna that many famous classical musicians like Beethoven, Mozart and Mahler composed and performed their works) which has enhanced its global reputation as a popular tourist destination.
