DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

The Klein Elzenwalle holiday apartment complex lies in the Flemish West Corner (de Vlaamse Westhoek), in the forest of Elzenwalle. It is part of the borough of Voormezele, district of Ieper. It belongs to the province of West Flanders and is located between the town of Kortrijk and the coast, 10 km from the French border. The Klein Elzenwalle holiday apartment complex occupies an area of 1000 m2, in the forest. There is a garden on a part of the premises. Here you will find sun as well as shade. From the terrace you can enjoy long evenings with a view of the garden with all its splendid colors. There are just a couple of houses and a few farms in the neighborhood. The apartment's location guarantees lots of privacy. Furthermore, there is a garage and a carport at your disposal.

Klein Elzenwalle can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons. There is a living room with an open kitchen and a Scandinavian dining area, two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. In every bedroom there is one double bed. Two additional guests can sleep in the living room. A number of bicycles (including two tandems) are stored ready for use in the garage. Garden furniture is available as well as a TV-set, CD player, fridge, washing machine, electric kettle, ceramic stove, hot-air oven and microwave. Dinnerware, pans and cutlery are all available in sufficient quantities. Bed linen (including bath linen and kitchen towels)can be rented for 7.50 per set. If you wish to heat the apartment by means of the safe and cozy multi-burner, the owner can provide you with one bucket of firewood for 3.95 euro.This has to be requested in advance.If you run out of wood, you have to provide for this yourself. You will find a lot of useful information in the house about sightseeing opportunities and various activities. A baby bed is also available.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

The Klein Elzenwalle holiday apartment complex is situated in the West Corner (de Westhoek), which is a part of the province of West Flanders. The West Corner consists of the Flemish Hill Country or "het Vlaamse Heuvelland" (Kemmelberg lies at a distance of 5 km), the Hopland or "Hoppeland" (in Poperinge), the polders around Veurne and the wide beaches of De Panne (35 km). The West Corner (de Westhoek) is a pure wonder. For relaxation or sport walking, you will find yourself in the right place here. Numerous routes have been laid out for cyclists. The Flemish Hill Country that extends up to France is a real challenge for the true racing cyclist. There is also much to see here on the subject of the first World War, from the Flanders Field Museum in Ieper to the many cemeteries, monuments and other landmarks in the area. The beaches of De Panne and Koksijde can be recommended in every season. Magnificent Flemish towns lie within reach - Ieper with its Cloth Hall and Big Market; Veurne; Diksmuide (Dixmude); Kortrijk; Rijssel (Lille); Brugge (Bruges) and Gent - are always fascinating. There is extensive information available on all places of interest in the vicinity as well as a large number of tips for small restaurants or "eating houses" where the Flemish hospitality and art of cooking reign supreme. For children there is always a nice surprise.
