DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

This villa with a swimming pool is situated on the western shore of the Istrian Peninsula, between the mouth of the Mirna River to the north and the Lim Fjord to the south. Here you will find a gentle climate, an indented coastline dotted with many small islands and peninsulas thick with pine trees. Poreč, with its beautiful beaches sheltered from the sea by the island of St. Nikola, has become the leading center of Croatian tourism, developing from a small fishing village to an attractive tourist hub. These apartments are located just 10 minutes [walk] from the seashore. There is also a grocery store and several restaurants in the vicinity. The town center is about 2o minutes away.

This apartment has an area of 38 m2 and is suitable for four persons. It is located on the 1st floor and has two bedrooms, one of which is furnished with a double bed, the other with two single beds and a satellite TV. The accommodation has a bathroom with a shower and a fully-equipped mini kitchen in the dining room which includes sufficient kitchen utensils and tableware for the number of guests. There is also a refrigerator with a small deep freezer compartment. The accommodation has a balcony which offers a view of the swimming pool.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

A Roman town subsequently conquered by the Byzantines and Venetians, Poreč was once an important harbor. Today it is one of the most integral Istrian towns and is well worth a visit. Poreč represents the center of the largest holiday area in Istria and is known as the Riviera of Istria. Besides the great tourist influence, Poreč has plenty of culture and local spirit, and along with other local towns, is recognized for its history. The rich tourist tradition, attractive hotels, modern tourist complexes, green forests and Mediterranean vegetation are reasons for the continual tourist development. It is a haven for tourists as well as athletes. It has a good variety of nightlife which includes various discotheques, bars and dance clubs. A visit to the old part of town, with its important cultural and historical sites including the Euphrasian Basilica (under the protection of UNESCO), is a must. Here you will also find some interesting archaeological findings which bear witness to the population density of this area even in pre-historic times. The remains of forums and temples reveal the importance of the Roman presence in the area. Traces of great cultures are visible on every step of the old town and narrow streets. From Poreč you can take excursions to Rovinj, which was designated a cultural monument in 1963, or to the Limski Channel. On a boat trip you can visit the Brijuni Islands National Park or Pula and Medulin - the well-known tourist centers and holiday resort.
