DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

This family house is situated at the foot of the Giant Mountains in the northern part of the Czech Republic. The quiet and undisturbed village of Mříčná makes a good starting point for exploring the region. This old village has many houses built in the typical style of the area. The holiday house is a former hotel and is surrounded by a large garden with furniture. The private pool makes it possible for you to cool down on a hot summer’s day. There is plenty of space for the children to play. Inside you can use the recreational room. You have a kitchen and 6 bedrooms at your disposal. There is plenty of space to park your car on the grounds. A cafe/restaurant lies just 100m away. The combination of tranquil surroundings with the untouched appearance of the village and the beauty of the Giant Mountains guarantee a relaxing holiday. 3km further you will find the town of Jilemnice which has all the necessary facilities.

This holiday home has plenty of space. In the hall there is a fireplace that also heats up the other rooms. On the ground floor lies the former restaurant, with cosy "boxes" and a TV. Three walls of the kitchen have benches. There are two cookers, one gas and an electric, a microwave, electric kettle, coffeemaker, large fridge and a freezer. Supplies are in place for more than 18 persons. One bedroom is located downstairs, the others are upstairs. There are 4 double beds and 10 single beds in total. Four of the bedrooms have a satellite TV and their own bathrooms. The other two share a bathroom across the hall. One bedroom is very large and has a winter balcony. There is a separate storage room with a table tennis table and washing machine. The building is centrally heated.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

In summer this area is very suitable for hiking and cycling along a vast network of trails. You can also pick mushrooms. An outdoor pool is situated 500m from the house. You can play soccer or tennis in Jilemnice (3km). This town also has various points of interest like: a baroque church and the archaeological remains of an old fortification. The Giant Mountains are 40km long and this holiday house is situated at the midpoint, so everything is quite close. For those who like to play sports, you can visit the sports centres, indoor pool, summer toboggan slide, squash hall, bowling alley and golf course in Semily (13km). If you like culture you will find a variety of museums about skiing, glass blowing, music and life in this region. There are also many beautiful churches, interesting folk architecture and old castles and estates that are worth visiting. The tourist towns of Vrchlabí, Špindlerův Mlýn, Rokytnice nad Jizerou and Harrochov are very good for shopping. You can also enjoy a meal or drinks at one of the many inexpensive restaurants.
