DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN
This apartment (renovated in 2004) is located just 2 km from the German border, 55 km from Dresden. From the Moldava / Rehefeld border it is about 2 km to "Dolní Moldava". The apartment is situated on a hilly plateau, at an altitude of 850 meters. A beautiful natural environment, with vast forests and meadows, surrounds the village and offers plenty peace and quiet as well as privacy. The area has a dense network of bicycle and hiking trails, and from many places you have magnificent views of picturesque villages. For fresh bread or daily shopping, there is a small supermarket in the village. Additional shops and facilities can be found in the Czech town of Teplice (22 km) or in the German town of Frauenstein (27 km). The house is located on a quiet street. In the garden, around the house, there is covered terrace with furniture, a parasol and a barbecue. Alongside and in front of the house there is ample space for parking (on private property). You can also park your car in the garage. A beautiful apartment with a lot of room for 6 persons - at a very reasonable price!
This apartment is about 8 x 8 meters and consists of three floors. On the 1st floor, at the entrance, lies the living area. The living room (8 x 4 m) is newly furnished and contains a sofa, chairs, cabinets, floor lamp, TV (local channels plus 3 German channels), video player and a stereo with CD player. The living room also has a large balcony with a wonderful view of the valley, the sports ground, the opposite hillside and some lakes. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with 4 ceramic hotplates, an electric oven, extraction fan, bread baking machine, coffee maker, kettle, built-in refrigerator, freezer, sink, cabinets and a table with 6 chairs. Also on this floor you'll find a bathroom with sink, shower and hairdryer plus a separate toilet. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, of which one has a double bed and the other two, two single beds. The basement is suitable for storing stuff and parking cars. The basement also contains a laundry room with washing machine and irons and the boiler for the central heating system.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES
In this attractive area you can go cycling and hiking, or combine demanding sports / mountaineering with visits to quaint little towns in the valleys or simply relax at a spa. Opposite the house there is a small reservoir ideal for swimming, rowing and fishing (fishing license required!). 100 meters farther lies another reservoir. Both lakes are surrounded by a hiking / jogging path which leads to the sports complex of Moldava, about 100 meters from the accommodation. Here you will find an athletic track, soccer field, tennis courts, miniature golf course and a garden. In the surrounding area there are picturesque castles and country houses, several zoos, a large selection of natural lakes and technical and industrial landmarks which recall the former ore extraction days. On the road, which leads along the border, you will come to Krupka (23 km), where you will find the oldest stannary (tin mine) in the Czech Republic, with the longest shaft 'the old Martin '(2 miles), which you can visit. A chairlift takes you to Komáří vížku, overlooking the mountains. In the village of Osek (19 km) there is a Cistercian monastery which was founded at the end of the 12th Century and has a beautiful monastic church, convent and wonderful courtyard. The larger city of Teplice (24 km) is renown for its mineral springs. A visit the Spa Building is worthwhile. It is surrounded by parks, one of which is a sandstone-based botanical garden, an observatory, a fitness center and a modern covered aqua park. And then there is a large zoo in the town of Usti nad Labem (44 km) with a petting zoo, slides, a trail of dinosaurs and a restaurant. A must for the children!
