DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

Dalibor's Place is ideal for a large group of 20-27 persons. The accommodation consists of two adjacent holiday homes, both of which were entirely renovated in 2004. The houses are situated in a remote spot in the woods, in the neighbourhood of the municipality of Morávka, in the centre of the Beskydy Nature Reserve at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. Both chalets are very tastefully furnished. The largest chalet emanates an atmosphere of the past, due to the hand-made furniture, timber ceilings and floors. The smaller chalet is furnished in a modern style, but numerous old relics have been employed in the interior decoration. You have two living rooms at your disposal as well as two large living / dining kitchens (equipped with electric cooking facilities), three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two separate toilets. Both holiday homes have fireplaces, wood-burning stoves and electric heaters, making your stay comfortable on cold days. There is not only plenty of space on the inside, but also outside the houses. There is an outdoor fireplace surrounded by benches and a climbing tree. There is also plenty of space to park your car at the house. A wonderful area for lovers of nature, tranquility and coziness.

Both houses have a living room. In the largest house this room breathes a typical atmosphere due to its wood beams, wood floor and matching furniture. Here you will find a bed which can serve as a couch during the day. Behind a short wooden wall there are two more beds. There is a fireplace as well as a wood-burning stove. In the smallest house the living room is furnished with two very comfortable couches and two easy-chairs. Here you will find a fireplace and wood-burning stove as well. The kitchens in both accommodations are spacious and are equipped with an electric stove, microwave, electric kettle and refrigerator. In the largest kitchen there is also a wood-burning kitchen-range, a real challenge to cook upon! For keeping drinks fresh, the largest house has a 170-year old cellar. Both kitchens have tables and chairs. In the largest house there is also a bed which can be used as a couch during the day. The bathrooms have a shower and a washstand. In the smallest house there is a toilet in the bathroom as well. The largest house has a separate toilet. Large groups require large bedrooms, and the three bedrooms are indeed huge. In the larger chalet there are two bedrooms furnished with in total of 14 beds. In the smallest chalet the bedroom has eight beds. In short: both houses have been comfortably and tastefully furnished. The houses are situated on an alpine meadow, so there is plenty of space. At the back there is a fireplace surrounded by benches. At a separate sitting area, grilling is possible. Enjoy the surroundings and good company here. Each separate house is more extensively described respectively as BN30789 and BN30796.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

Wonderful as it may be to find yourself with a group in this beautiful place, you might nevertheless feel like seeing more of the Czech Republic. You can swim in the Morávka River (500m away) or explore the surrounding mountains and forests by bike or on foot. You can make excursions to the nearby Morávka Reservoir or visit the larger Žermanice Reservoir (20 km). Frydlant nad Ostravici (15 km) has a small airport where you can watch the gliders and planes take off and land. You can even take a sight-seeing flight here. Frýdek-Místek (18 km) is certainly worth a visit. This town was built on both banks of the Ostravice River and is an excellent place for a bit of shopping and entertainment. In the modern town of Kopřivnice (40 km) there is an automobile museum. A stone's throw away from there lies the fortified town of Štramberk (42 km). The fortress's tower can be seen from a distance. There are two museums and a cave, where a Neanderthal jaw-bone was found. The small, but cosy market place beckons you for a stroll but you can sit down and relax at one of the terraces. For a day trip Rožnov pod Radhoštěm (44 km) is highly recommended. On your way there, you can stop off in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm (32 km) with its old attractive town centre. Rožnov is a tourist town whose open-air museum is its main attraction. At three separate locations you can get a glimpse of how people used to live, work and entertain themselves in the past. For those who would like to hop over to Poland: Český Těšín lies only 29 km away. In the same town on the Polish side (Polský Těšín), there is a large market where everything can be bought at very moderate prices, especially clothes and household goods.
