DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN
A simple holiday accommodation at a modest price. Chalet Eva is situated in the forest, close to the reservoir for the nearby town of Boskovice, some 50 km north of Brno. This part of the Czech Republic, known as the Drahanske Plain, lies at an altitude of 720 meters. It is a hilly landscape where plains and pine forests alternate. The rear of the house borders a forest while the front looks out onto a meadow. There are several holiday houses on the road, this house is the first. By road the distance to the friendly town of Boskovice is 4.5 km, through the woods it's only 1 km. This is an ideal starting point for day trips in the vicinity. The house is suitable for 5 persons. The garage under the house has room for 1 car. There is additional parking available outside.
Under the house there is a garage and a separate toilet. An indoor stairway leads up to the hallway. Alternatively you can reach the hall by way of the front door. The hall provides access to the living room which is furnished with a couch, a table with four chairs and another small table. Against the wall there is a fireplace with a wood-burning stove. The fireplace and stove offer plenty of warmth and cosiness on those chilly days. The living room also has a radio. There is a door to a large balcony on the side of the house. The balcony has garden chairs but the small table from inside can be used here as well. The room has an open connection to the narrow kitchen which is equipped with an electric cooker, electric kettle, microwave and counter height refrigerator. Next to the kitchen, separated by a curtain, is the shower and a sink. There are two bedrooms upstairs. The largest has a single bed and a double bed. There is a couch here as well. This bedroom provides access to a balcony from where you have a beautiful view of the meadows. The second bedroom is smaller and can accommodate two persons.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES
In front of the house lies a sunny meadow, bordered by conifers. In the forest next to the house there is a spot with a fireplace. In and around Boskovice you can find plenty to do. There is a sauna, spa, swimming pool, six tennis courts, an ice skating rink and the Modrá Věž (blue tower) with a department store and sports centre. The sports centre offers: fitness, squash, sauna, bowling, badminton, solarium and billiards. Boskovice lies on the Moravian Karst, an exceptionally beautiful area with splendid nature and numerous caves. For those who would like to explore the surroundings by bike, bicycles can be rented from the landlord. He can also arrange for a German-speaking guide who will accompany your trips by car through this part of the Czech Republic. In Kořenec (12 km) there is a 9-hole golf course called "Sokrates". Just outside Boskovice, in the immediate vicinity, you can find countless castles, many built in the renaissance or baroque style: Kunštát (16 km), Lysice (16 km), Letovice (17 km) and Rájec-Jestřebí (15 km). Each of these are an architectural gem. Swimming pools can be found in Boskovice, Lysice and Letovice. Lovers of aquatic sports can go to Suchý Lake (9 km) or the Křetínka reservoir lake (15 km). The towns of Brno (46 km), Prostějov (38 km) and Olomouc (30 km) are certainly worthwhile for a day trip. Brno, the second largest town in the Czech Republic, is worth a visit for its many museums, entertainment facilities, shopping centres, Špilberk Fortress and the trade fair grounds. Olomouc (30 km), a former capital and episcopal seat, is now a university town and the cultural centre of Moravia. This city has plenty of squares, churches, facades and fountains. Mozart, the emperor Ferdinand and Gustav Mahler all lived here for a longer or shorter period. Near Olomouc there is a zoo.
