DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

Our idyllic and completely freestanding holiday home was built in 1998 and was recently modernised. The house is located in the triangle of the departments lot, Lot et Garonne and Dordogne.

The house is completely furnished with all necessary comforts and luxury and with 4 persons you have a lot of space. Through the front door you walk into the atmospherical living room/kitchen. In the kitchen are a large dining table, fridge, microwave, jug, cooker, Senseo and coffee machine. You'll also find the wood burner here that heats the whole house without a problem

In the living room is satellite TV with all Dutch channels but also French and 100 other channels. There is a hifi set with CD player and a separate DVD player.

From this room you can enter the bedroom with a pine double bed 140x200 with slatted bed base, you'll also find a closet here. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, basin and a toilet. The house also has a modern double sofa bed, all beds are fitted with duvets. There is an extra sleeping place on the vide with a 140x200 mattress, a lot of fun for the children and you will not need to use the sofa bed. The vide is reached by a ladder (like those for a bunk bed).

This house has a unique location, overlooking the valley, yet completely serene in the forest. You can reach the house by a 600m long paved road up through the forest. The house is located at the end of this road on a 6 hectare domain. Privacy and peace are 100% guaranteed. The many trees surrounding the house will provide the necessary shade.

This truly beautifully located house among nature is a real must. The large terrace (porch of 21m2) is completely covered and equipped with garden chairs, table, sunshade, sun beds and a barbecue. On the grounds is a spacious shed where you can store your bikes or other things. The grounds are fully enclosed and can be closed by a metal gate. Especially useful if you have children or a dog.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

Only 8 kilometres away you'll find the town of Fumel, where you can find all you need in the various large supermarkets, bakeries etc. In the village Lacapelle Biron, 2,5km from the house is a traditional bakery, a supermarket for forgotten groceries, restaurant, garage, butcher, pharmacy etc.

The river Lot runs through Fumel and upstream is the village Duravel where you can hire canoes, bikes, mountain bikes etc. You can also book an organized and guided tour on the river Dordogne here. In the town of Monpazier are various good restaurants for a lovely dinner and Thursdays there's a nice market in the square (more info can be found in the gite). In the area there are many festivals during the summer holidays and there is much to do for children, like the medieval festivals in Monpazier.

Possibilities for swimming can be found in Fumel, where there's a swimming pool. The Dordogne and Vezere meet in Limeuil and there is a nice beach and kayak rental. There are also several golf courses in the area. You can book a guided horse trek at the stables 25 minutes drive away.

Cadouin is also worth visiting as is Le Bugue. The world famous wine city Bergerac is only 40 minutes drive. A very cosy Burgundian city, especially with a visit during the week.

PRICES BELOW ARE FOR THE 2012 SEASON
incl: energy, bookings- and administration costs as well as tourist tax. In the winter of 2011/12 we are renewing the the interior by painting, wallpapering and changing the current furniture, so that the house is completely up-to-date for the 2012 season. Pictures will be updated gradually. Because of this the current rates are the old low rates

A fifth person is possible after consultation and for an additional fee.
