DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

Recently renovated Cottage set in a small hamlet in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Just a short distance from the medieval ruins of Crozant and Eguzon lake, which is renowned for its beaches and water sports.

Accomodation comprises of:

Bedroom 1 with double bed. (Ground Floor)
Bedroom 2 with 1 double bed
Bedroom 3 with 2 single beds
Bedroom 4 with 2 single beds
In addition a double sofa bed (Futon) is also available in bedroom 4.
Cot available

Ground Floor Family bathroom with bath & basin.
Separate downstairs WC.
First Floor Family Bathroom with shower, twin basins and WC.

Kitchen: Fully fitted units with all appliances and ample storage space.

Living Rooms: FreeSat, TV and DVD player, comfortable seating. Wood burning stove.

Dining Room - large farmhouse dining table and seating for 8.

All bed linen and towels for use within house can be supplied on request .

There is Oil-fired central heating and a wood burning stove available during winter.
Large front garden, mostly lawn with fruit trees. Ample shade. Garden furniture and BBQ.

Numerous lakes and rivers providing beach facilities, within 10 - 20 minutes drive.
60minutes from Limoges airport also 400 miles from Channel ports.
Fresselines (10 minutes) excellent bakery/cake shop + basic groceries, butchers, bar/restaurant. Plage de Fougeres (10 minutes) lakeside beach with play equipment and water sports, several restaurants/bars. Orsennes (15 minutes drive) has full range of shops, bars etc. Aigurande & Eguzon (15 miutes drive) also have banks and supermarket. All have weekly markets. Alternatively, bakers, grocers and butchers make regular deliveries to our hamlet. Just listen for the horn!

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

The local area is renowned for its beauty and has attracted a wealth of artists. Fresselines (10 minutes drive) has many artistic connections and hosts summer exhibitions. Although quiet and in the middle of the countryside, there are nonetheless numerous summer events and activities within an easy drive. Most nearby towns and villages offer delightful bars and restaurants and during the summer there will probably be a fete happening nearby with markets, boules competitions or fireworks displays. If you wish to venture further afield, why not visit the wolf sanctuary at Gueret, or take the literary route and visit the many local places connected with the author Georges Sand and her lover, Chopin, including the delightful Gargilesse, one of France's most beautiful villages. More into watersports and sunbathing? Eguzon lake is renowned for its various watersport facilities. Ancient history? Argenton-sur-Creuse has a first rate archaeological museum and impressive roman remains. Why not take a day trip to Poitiers and visit Futroscope. Something for everyone. For a small fee all the local rivers and lakes that are under the government scheme can be fished on a single licence. The list of fish is endless with Catfish, Pike, Bass, Perch and huge Carp all available to be caught

PRICES AND PERIODS

€200 deposit (pr week) required at time of booking, final balance due 6 weeks before holiday start date & non-refundable within the final 6 week period.
A damages fee will only be charged if the property and its facilities are not left in the condition they are found.
For autumn & winter rentals. A surcharge of €65/£ per week applies for Central Heating and wood burning stove
