DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

Residence L'ours de Bleu was built for the winter 08/09 season. It enjoys the best location in the village, right in the center of the Vallorcine ski resort, next to the new bubble lift. The residence was built using traditional materials, with brushed wood and local stone much in evidence. It is composed of 3 large interconnecting chalet style buildings comprising 70 spacious apartments in total, ranging from 1 bedroom apartments sleeping 4 to spacious apartments sleeping up to 10. The complex has a restaurant, a reception area with lounge, a leisure area with an indoor heated swimming pool (free access), a sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room. There is also free off-road parking (limited spaces), covered parking (for a fee) and ski lockers. Here guests will be able to ski the extensive ski area of the Chamonix Valley without paying the higher prices of the more expensive and famous neighboring resorts.

The stylish interior of the apartment has been tastefully arranged and includes a high standard of fittings and furnishings for comfort and convenience. It is a suitable accommodation for 8 persons and has an area of about 80 m² which includes 3 bedrooms, each furnished with 2 single beds. It has a living area with a double sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchenette with a 4-burner cooker, a multi-function oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker and has its own en suite bath/shower room. Bed linen and towels are included. The apartment has a balcony and there is a telephone and internet connection at your disposal as well.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

The ski resort of Vallorcine is situated in the Mont-Blanc area of the Haute-Savoie region, in the northern Alps. It is part of the Skipass Mont-Blanc ski domain. At an altitude of 1260m, in the heart of the Eau Noire Valley, the village of Vallorcine is the local secret of the Chamonix Valley. Just moments away from Chamonix and within easy reach of Geneva, this small picturesque resort benefits from stunning Alpine panoramas and a traditional Savoyard atmosphere. It is an unspoilt mountain village with a great infrastructure consisting of fantastic local bars/restaurants, ski rental services, a post office and the mountain railway which runs you straight up to Argentiere and Chamonix. Vallorcine has restaurants and bars for après ski. Activities include ballooning, off-piste skiing, glacier skiing, heli-skiing and snowshoeing. The lift serviced area extends from 1260 meters to 1500 meters. There are 3 km of lift serviced runs. There are 10 km of cross-country trails. Of course you can always just enjoy the beautiful winter landscape while escaping your everyday routine!
