DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN
Enjoy a family-friendly holiday in the heart of the Kurhessen Highland. Silbersee, a versatile holiday village, lies app. 400 km away from Utrecht, built on a softly rolling landscape. Lake Silbersee, or “the Silver Lake”, is the natural centre of the park. The idyllic woody lake offers a wide range of recreational possibilities for the whole family. Little guests will discover plenty of fun and variety at the Happy Kids Club as well as numerous playgrounds and street art workshops – which happen to be just as popular with the grown-ups! Equally exciting are the activities at Frielo-Land (children’s play barn). Further on, there is a wide choice of recreational facilities for the whole family, such as mountain biking, boating on Silbersee Lake (10.000m²), mini golf, a fast ride on the Silbersee Bob (all-weather toboggan run), archery, wilderness camp, maize labyrinth, horseback riding and covered wagon rides, skittles, swimming in the lake and in the indoor pool, sauna, solarium, fun-court (for all kinds of ball games), playgrounds and sports fields, boule, guided walks, biking tours and torch walks. That’s the way we ensure everyone will fulfill one’s own holiday dream! The village is mostly pedestrian. Driving is only allowed for loading and unloading goods. During your stay, park your car at one of the central parking lots. You can do your groceries without leaving the village at the Edeka supermarket and/or have a lovely meal at the “Seeblick” restaurant that serves quality food at family-friendly prices.
After a day of top level recreation, recover yourself at your tastefully furnished apartment. This two-room accommodation enjoys an excellent location only 150 m away from Silbersee Lake and has a total (living) space of app. 30 m². It can accommodate a maximum of 2 persons. Among other things, the apartment is equipped with a TV, sitting/dining area, a separate toilet & shower, kitchen corner with electric cooker, coffee maker and a fridge with a built-in freezer. Finally, there is a bedroom for two. There is also a balcony or a terrace facing south, complete with sufficient garden furniture. In short, a fully-furnished apartment in wonderful surroundings.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES
Frielendorf (230 - 260 m NN) lies amidst a softly rolling landscape scattered with picturesque half-timbered small villages, hiking paths and cycling routes. Together with the holiday park of Silbersee, it is an officially recognized mountain air health resort. Homberg (10 km), the capital of the region, is situated at the gateway to the Knüll Mountains, a low mountain range of the Kurhessen Highland and an extremely popular recreation- and holiday area. The twenty districts of Homberg look back at its eventful past. The townscape is typified by the Marienchurch that wrote history as one of the biggest Gothic hall churches in Hessen. Besides numerous activities at the park and vicinity, it is certainly worth your while to visit the location of Fritzlar (35 km), an ancient settlement on the steep banks of the Eder River, surrounded by walls and defense towers. Crowned with the impressive twin-tower front wall, this place is a jewel among the medieval towns in Hessen. In the woods around Frielendorf you will find various mountain bike routes (17 km in total). On condition of sufficient snowfall, there are limited ski possibilities at the neighboring ski resorts of Knüllköpfchen (in Neuenstein, with two lifts and two ski runs) or Vogelsberg. Besides, there is Knüll Nature Centre & Wild Park at the distance of 10 km. Shortly, a versatile area to explore!
