DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

Near Altenbeken, we offer a cosy and comfortable holiday flat in a former foresters lodge listed as national heritage. Relax in the middle of a romantic winter landscape cool down from stress and take a vacation in a beautiful wintry Highland Landscape.

You stay in the historical ambience in a former foresters lodge with modern comfort and enjoy quietness and recreation in a really historical surrounding. Thick, gnarled trees, an arboretum and a geometrical shaped old garden with boxwood beds and optical
axes offer wounderful views and perspectives.

The holiday flat lies on the first floor of a auxiliary building. The rooms are particularly spacious with confortably decorated rooms. The flat has 80 qm and consists of a cosy combined living/bed room, two bedrooms, a kitchen and a large bathroom with bath and shower. A washing maschine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer are at your disposal. In addition to this you are invited to use the sitting corner and a grill. The holiday home offers you nice views - the panorama view from the kitchen and Combined living/bed rooms overlooks the surrounding area of forests, meadows and the big garden.

Our holiday flat is equipped with baby cots and high chairs as well as with toys. If you want to visit us with small children and you need stools and baby beds – give us a call or drop us a note in advance.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

The house is situated in a very quiet peaceful area, surrounded by beautiful nature and landscape which is ideal recreation. The village is nearby and can be reached in less than 5 minutes.The holiday home is ideal as a starting point for hiking and excursions in the region. Paderborn, the diocesan town with its many museums is only 15 kms away.

The best known tourist attractions are, however, the Externsteine (a rock formation), whose sandstone rocks rise up to 40 meters high into the sky is not far away and can be reached in an 20 minute drive. The little town of Detmold, the Hermann's memorial are nearby. The Berlebeck Falconry, the Westfalen Culinarium in Nieheim are only some examples for the many interesting sites to visit.

Should you be interested in history of our region - like the Varus battle or the history of railroads - you are at the right place. We can give you advice on which trips and excursions in the region are worth it.

It ist he right place especially for children because there is a lot of space for playing and rampage. And there is a lot to see for them – we breed sheep and in winter they bear their young. Children can watch care and feeding of the animals. Our chicken, pigeons and the colourful bird and animal world which visit the bird feeder like nuthatch and red squirrel.

PRICES AND PERIODS

Prices for the flat per night / per week
Price per night all-the-year: 42 Euro for 4 persons.
Every additional person costs 12 Euro per night.
Maximal occupancy is 6 persons.

Price per week is 270 Euro for 4 persons (each further person pays 65 Euro).
From November to March heating costs amounting to 5 Euro per day.
For cat or dog you pay 10 Euro per stay.
Extra costs for end-of-stay cleaning are 30 Euro.
Bathtowels, sheets and blankets are included in the price.

Please notice that you have to pay a deposit amounting to 50 percent of the total sum at reservation.
