DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

Situated in the hills overlooking Lucca and the plain, this magnificent estate, dating back to the 13th century, has a large farmhouse which has been renovated to provide four comfortable self-contained apartments. The estate is located in a very quiet and sunny position well away from the hustle and bustle of city life but, at the same time, it is within easy reach of Lucca. The property extends for about 30 hectares and has a small, unrenovated antique villa and other buildings such as stables, houses and an ancient olive press.

Each apartment has its own small private area of the natural gardens with table, chairs and deck chairs for outdoor living and relaxing. There is ample parking space in front of the villa.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

Within 5 kms from Lucca. 18kms from Pisa. 20 kms from the coast at Viareggio. 60 kms from Florence. There are many good restaurants abounding the area and tennis courts at 3 km, riding school at 5 km and the beach at Viareggio is reached by motorway in 20 min.
There are many very beautiful estates and gardens to visit plus museums and hundreds of antique and interesting churches. In the town of Lucca there is always a summer music festival with artists from all over the world and here is the special Puccini festival.
From Viareggio there is an excellent day trip by boat to see the magnificent Cinque Terre and if you go north into the Garfagna area there is the famous Grotta del Vento and also for the children and young parents the Parco della Buffardella. A really enjoyable day out.
