DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN
De Roggeberg holiday complex lies directly on the border of the magnificent Het Drents-Friese Wold nature reserve. Here you can go for an endless walk or cycling trip through the unspoiled scenery of this wonderful landscape. Along the way, you can easily meet traditional flocks of sheep that help maintain the heathland in its most natural state. A special experience is a trip through the Aekinger Zand, one of Europe’s largest drift sands. The complex itself has a water park for children up to the age of 10 (The water park is open when outside temperatures rise above 20 degrees). All guests of De Roggeberg have free access to Appelscha’s splendid outdoor pool situated next to the holiday complex. Among other things, this forest pool has a unique aquatic playground. Guests can also enjoy free access (during fixed hours) to the “de Boekhorst” indoor swimming pool in neighboring Oosterwolde. In the center of the complex you will also find facilities such as a restaurant, a snack bar, a supermarket and a large recreation area.
This detached 3-room bungalow can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons. The layout of the ground floor runs as follows: a hall, toilet, living room and an open kitchen equipped with a fridge (incl. a freezer), a 4-burner cooker with hood, a microwave combo and complete furnishings for the above-mentioned number of guests. The living room contains a dining table, a sitting area, color TV, central heating and a fireplace. This bungalow has three bedrooms (downstairs) with six single box spring beds in twin-bed arrangement and a crosswise bunk bed arrangement. Duvets (single) and pillows are available. Linen sets are included. The floor space of this accommodation is 78m2. This bungalow has one bathroom with a shower. There is also a separate toilet. Furthermore, you will find a spacious garden and a private parking place at the bungalow. Outside on the terrace there is sufficient garden furniture.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES
De Roggeberg offers recreational facilities for all ages. First of all, there is a recreation team which provides fun recreational activities on weekends from April to October and during school breaks. Of course, one can be active independently as well. There are tennis courts and table tennis tables available. There is a sports field for all kinds of sports activities. Specially for children, there is a playground and a fossil field. Next to the complex there is an official 9-hole golf course. In cooperation with Appelscha-Outdoor, De Roggeberg has built a 15 m high adventure tower on the premises. See also www.klimavontuur.nl. From De Roggeberg you can also reach various interesting towns and attractions. You can visit the lake area in Friesland as well as old Zuiderzee towns like Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Workum and Makkum. Don’t forget Giethoorn and the neighboring nature reserve of De Weerribben - they are also worth a visit. Het Fochteloërveen has a rare population of birds, including cranes. You can explore the old culture of Drenthe in little villages such as Orvelte, Westerbork, Diever and Dwingeloo.
