DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN
Right next to the beautiful park "Drents Friese Wold" lies the holiday park of De Roggeberg (The Rye Mountain). In this pristine area you can go for endless walks and bicycle trips. On some you can find traditional sheep herds that contribute to the management of the heathland area. A special experience is a trip on the Aekinger Sands, one of the largest drift-sand areas in Europe. At the center is a water play area for children up to 10 years of age (open when the outside temperature exceeds 20 degrees). All guests of The Rye Mountain have free access to the magnificent pool of Appelscha that is right next to our center. This has Bosbad including a unique water playground. At times our guests have free access to the "Boekhorst" indoor swimming pool in nearby Oosterwolde. Other facilities include a restaurant, snack bar, supermarket and a large recreation room.
This detached bungalow is suitable for up to 4 persons. The layout of the ground floor is as follows: a hall, a toilet and a living room with an open kitchen which contains a fridge (with freezer), 4-burner stove with fan, combi microwave, dishwasher and full dinnerware for the number of guests. The living room has a dining table, sitting area, color TV, central heating and a wood-burning stove. This bungalow has two bedrooms (downstairs) with four single box spring beds in twin-twin setup. Duvets (single) and pillows are available. Bed linen is included. There is a bathroom in the bungalow with a shower. In addition, there is a separate toilet. The total living area of the house is 52m2. Furthermore, the bungalow has a spacious garden and private parking. Outside on the terrace you'll find sufficient garden furniture.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES
The Rye Mountain offers recreational activities for all ages. For example, from April to October, on weekends and during school holidays, there is a family team which provides fun recreational programs for the whole family. There are tennis courts and table tennis tables available. There is a variety of sports activities possible, especially on the children playground and fossil field. In addition, the center has an official 9-hole golf course. In cooperation with Appelscha-Outdoor, in the field The Rye Mountain has a 15-meter-high adventure tower. See also www.klimavontuur.nl. From The Rye Mountain a host of interesting cities and attractions are easily accessible. In Friesland, you can visit the lake and old Zuiderzee towns like Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Makkum and Workum. Giethoorn and the nearby nature reserve are also worth a trip. The Fochteloërveen has special birds, including the crane. The old culture of Drenthe can be found in villages like Orvelte, Westerbork, and Diever Dwingeloo.
