DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN
Right next to the beautiful Drents Friese Wold park lies the De Roggeberg (The Rye Mountain) holiday park. In this pristine area you can go for an endless walk or cycling trip. Along some routes you will find traditional sheep herds that help contribute to the management of the heathland area. A special experience is a trip along the Aekinger Sands, one of the largest sand-drift areas in Europe. At the park's center you'll find an aquatic play area for children up to 10 years of age. This play area is open when the outside temperature exceeds 20 degrees. All guests of The Rye Mountain have free access to the magnificent pool of Appelscha, which is situated right next to our center. This has Bosbad which includes a unique water playground. At times our guests have free access to the "Boekhorst" indoor swimming pool in nearby Oosterwolde. Facilities of the holiday park include a restaurant, snack bar, supermarket and a large recreation room.
This detached bungalow can accommodate up to 8 persons. The layout of the ground floor is as follows: a hall, toilet and living room with an open kitchen which contains a fridge (with freezer compartment), 4-burner stove with fan, microwave, dishwasher and complete dinnerware for the number of persons. The living room has a dining table, a sitting area, color TV and central heating. This bungalow has four bedrooms (downstairs) with eight single box spring beds positioned in twin bed arrangement plus a bunk bed. Duvets (single) and pillows are available. Bed linen is included. There are two bathrooms in the bungalow each equipped with a shower or bathtub plus two toilets. In addition, there are two separate toilets. The total area of the bungalow is 110m2. The bungalow has a spacious garden and a private parking place. Outside on the terrace you'll find sufficient garden furniture at your disposal.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES
The Rye Mountain offers recreational activities for all ages. First of all there is a family activity team present from April to October (at weekends and school holidays) which provide fun recreational programs for the whole family. Then there are tennis courts and table tennis tables plus you have a variety of sports activities at your disposal. There is also a children playground and fossil field and at the center there is an official 9-hole golf course. Furthermore, in cooperation with Appelscha-Outdoor, The Rye Mountain has a 15-meter-high adventure tower (See also www.klimavontuur.nl). From The Rye Mountain many interesting cities and attractions are easily accessible. In Friesland, you can visit the lake and old Zuiderzee towns such as Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Makkum and Workum. Giethoorn and the neighboring nature reserve are also worth a visit. The Fochteloërveen has special birds, including the crane. The old culture of Drenthe can be discovered in villages like Orvelte, Westerbork, and Diever Dwingeloo.
