DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

This is an original farmhouse that has been renovated. It is situated in a historic village in the heart of the „Minho” region of Portugal and occupies a superb location near the beach, the equestrian center (only a few minutes away on foot), „Estela” golf course and the "Casino da póvoa de Varzim". This rural tourist complex is ideal for 16-20 persons and offers possibilities for every kind of group activity. The surrounding garden has an area of 1500 m2 which contains a spacious 50 m2 terrace where guests can relax and enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. The garden also contains a barbecue, garden furniture, parking place and swimming pool. You can have fun at night with a swim in the pool and make as much noise as you wish!

Currently there are 8 rooms plus the possibility of adding 4 extra beds, which allows the house to accommodate 20 persons in comfort. All rooms have a [central] heating system and are equipped with a private bath, TV and mini-bar. The game room is equipped with a snooker table and table football plus a variety of traditional games. The dining room and kitchen are also totally furnished and equipped with a dishwasher, stove, oven, two fridges and a microwave, as well as all the necessary kitchen utensils to serve up to 20 people. The dining room also has a fireplace and piano to animate the evenings throughout the year - a perfect place for dining and socializing!

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

A land of adventure and pleasure, Minho is a paradise located in northern Portugal. As you travel throughout Minho, you will discover lots of natural beauty - parks and reserves, beaches extending along the coast, riverbanks, ostentatious castles, important fortresses, monumental shrines, joyful festivities, remarkable handicrafts, a unique gastronomy and one of the world's most unique wines - the Vinho Verde.The location of the holiday home is excellent. It lies 4km from the motorway (A11 N, Exit 205), only 5 minutes from the beaches of Apúlia and 10 minutes from the "Estela" golf course and Casino Povoa de Varzim. For those who like horseback riding, there is the Ford Equestrian Center in the vicinity. Here you can spend an unforgettable day! In the surroundings there are several cities of great historical and architectural value like: Barcelos, Braga, Guimaraes and Viana do Castelo - all truly worth a visit. About 30 km away there is the Nature Park of Gerês which is also a great destination for a day trip.For hikers, 6 km away lies the famous pilgrim sites: the Sanctuary of "Nossa Senhora da Franqueira" and the Sanctuary of St. Felix, both of which offer a magnificent view of the sea and mountains.
