DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

Almuñecar is a port town in the Granada region of Spain. It has a Moorish castle which was built in 1887. Almuñecar is located in a tropical valley of „Costa Tropical”, 76km from Granada and 85km from Malaga. Here bananas and papaya are grown. The picturesque center of Almuñecar, with its small white houses and narrow streets (Barrio de San Miguel), is really delightful. The modern part of the town was built around the old town and beach. A wide range of sports and recreational activities as well as nightlife await guests here. In Almuñecar – primarily in summer - life is really vivid. In winter this is a calm and peaceful little town.The „Costa Tropical” is located in the south of Spain, close to the Costa del Sol which belongs to the beaches of Granada. This area is known as having the most optimal climate in Europe. Rain is rare and winters are moderate with an average temperature of 18°C. It has subtropical vegetation thanks to the mountains which surround the beach and protect it from the cold Nordic air-flow. Thus only the warm air-flow from the direction of Africa reaches the beach.

This apartment with two bedrooms, a kitchen and dining room, a complete bathroom and a large balcony, is located just 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches of the Spanish coast. It is in Almuñecar, in the region of Granada, Andalucia. The Tropical Apartment is suitable for 4 persons. The house where this apartment is located has a swimming pool which can be used in common with the other guests of the house.In one bedroom there is a double bed, in the other there is a single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and television. In the dining room there is a table with chairs, a sofa bed and a television. The kitchen is separate from the dining room and is well-equipped including a microwave, fridge, dishes and tableware. There is a large balcony with a seaside view. There is a washing machine on the balcony as well.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

Granada is a Spanish province situated between the Mediterranean Sea, Almeria, Murcia, Albacete, Jaen, Cordoba and Malaga. With regard to natural beauty, Granada overshadows all the provinces of Spain. Here you will find the highest point of the Pyrenean Peninsula - the Sierra Nevada with it’s snow-covered peak. Almost the entire „Snowy Mountain” is a protected area. The landscape is beautiful and perfect for leisure activities such as hiking, excursions or, in winter, skiing. The Alhambra, Generalife and Albicín together form one of the 38 World Heritage sites of Spain.Granada is the mother country of the ’flamenco’ so it would be a vice to miss out on a flamenco evening in the Sacramonte Cave.Most tourists visit the 12,500km² province because of the Alhambra (one of the most frequented tourist sites in the world) and Moorish castle-town. The Alhambra is the holy place of the ancient Moorish monarchy as well as being a fortress complex. But the province offers a lot of other sights as well. The thermal baths and health resorts in the mountains are for visitors who would like to preserve or recover their health. Guests who would like to enjoy the Spanish cuisine won’t be disappointed either. For sun lovers a visit to the Costa Tropical, which is the easternmost part of the Costa del Sol, is certainly worthwhile. All of the ingredients are here for an undisturbed holiday.From the Albaicin’s belvedere you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city, the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada. It’s worth watching the sunset as the sun disappears behind the Alhambra and then enjoy the evening lights of Granada.
