DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

Alcoceber, in the province of Castellon, is a village resort on the Costa Azahar. It lies 20 km south of Peniscola and about 400 km from the French border. This is a most attractive little village, with its sierra-like backdrop and beautiful natural surroundings with luxuriant vegetation, situated between two uniquely unspoilt areas of the Mediterranean coast. You are sure to be charmed by its rich landscapes, the warm welcome extended by its inhabitants and its extensive historic and cultural heritage, rich in folklore and gastronomy.The residential complex is comprised of several small 2 and 3-story buildings (without lift), opposite the sea. It has 2 swimming pools and a paddling pool (opened in May of 2006) surrounded by gardens. A restaurant, pizzeria and bar (with entertainment during the high season) are at your disposal.There is the possibility of heating the apartments up to the month of May.There is a small supermarket situated just 100 meters from the residence and other shops and facilities can be found 1 km away, in the center of the village.

This 2-room apartment with "cabin" is suitable for 4/6 persons and offers a view of the sea. It consists of: a well-equipped kitchenette (2 electric hotplates, a fridge and microwave); a living room with a pull out sofa bed for 2 persons; 1 bedroom suitable for 2 persons; a cabin with bunk beds; a bathroom and toilet and a balcony or terrace (ground floor) complete with garden furniture. Facilities of the complex include: a souvenir shop, newspaper and beach articles, laundry service (use for a fee), iron and coffee maker available to borrow (deposit required), restaurant and bar with outdoor terrace, and a cybercafe. There is also the possibility of half board, which is bookable in advance and must paid on the spot. For pets (dogs and cats), a certificate of vaccination against rabies plus a health certificate for pets younger than three months of age, is required.Other services bookable and payable at the time of reservation: 2 consecutive days entrance to Port Aventura for the price of one day; rates: adults 11 to 59 years inclusive: 44 €; children 4 to 10 years inclusive: 35 €; seniors (over 60): 35 €; children under 4 are free.

Costa del Azahar is a very green region with a host of orange and almond groves. With year round sunshine, Costa del Azahar is a more authentic version of the Spanish Mediterranean.More and more people are discovering the delights of its sandy beaches, marinas and yacht clubs that can be found all along the coast. Once visited, it is easy to see why people fall in love with this beautiful part of Spain! On this stunning stretch of coastline you will find the twin villages of Las Fuentes and Alcossebre. Situated within a conservation area, Alcossebre’s development has been strictly controlled - no high-rise buildings.This resort boasts five Blue Flag sandy beaches and lots of activities. The mountains rising up from the beaches help to make it an attractive area.Alcossebre lies midway between Valencia and Barcelona. Most carriers (Jet2, Easyjet, Ryanair) fly in to Valencia (74 miles) and Barcelona (154 miles) so you should have no problems reaching the exotic Costa del Azahar!Activities: Peñiscola, the old fortified city on a cliff overlooking the sea; the Ports of Vinaroz and Benicarlo; the surroundings of Benicasim; the Las Palmas Desert; the Carmelite monastery; Vall d'Uxo, the navigable caves of San José; Valencia (120km away) with its Science City and Oceanographic Museum (the most important one in Europe); and Benicarlo, the garden of parrots.
