DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

This villa has grounds comprising 6000m2 and is situated on a peninsula. From here you have a terrific view of a lake, forests and an idyllic little church situated on a nearby spit. The garden is a paradise for children, with lots of space to play football or volleyball. There is also various playground equipment here such as a swing, ropeway and sandbox. On warm summer nights you can sit outside and enjoy a campfire and/or barbecue. During the day you can hike for hours in the forest or go for a swim or fishing in the lake. You can also go out on a (self made) float or by bike. And if the weather is less pleasant, you can visit some of the sights in the surroundings.

This large villa, which used to be a school building, consists of five separate apartments, each of which has a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom (with a bath tub or shower). The total area of the house is 233 m2. A common living room and kitchen is included in the price. The jointly used kitchen is equipped with a large stove with oven, a microwave and a dishwasher. You can also have your meals here. There is a cozy wood-burning stove and a satellite TV in the sitting room, where you can also listen to music or play computer games on the play station equipment. There is also a dining table here. The gym of the former school is still intact and provides a fantastic place to play football, volleyball, hockey or basketball. Afterward you can enjoy the sauna or Turkish bath.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

This is an ideal place to get to know the best of Sweden: Forests for hiking and lakes and brooks for swimming and fishing - even boat rides. There is a big chance you will see wild animals such as beaver, not to mention a variety of birds. You might also come across an elk! There are tours organized in the vicinity including wild safaris, float trips and herb collecting tours. Canoes are available for rent. A unique way to explore the area is by “rail bike”: you cycle on abandoned railway lines, across bridges and through old tunnels. There are lots of mines in the vicinity as well. You can also visit “Herrgårdens” (farm) or a wide range of museums like the Alfred Nobel Museum in Karlskoga or the Lesjöfornmuseum. If you are looking for something a bit different, you can go to Karlstad. This is a modern university town where you can go shopping or enjoy a drink at a pub.
