Westkanterhof Apartment, situated in the middle of the Meetjeslandse Polders of Assenede, 10 km from Phillipine in Zeeland Flanders, has a very special atmosphere with its English country manor style. Here, in this picturesque area, you will be able to enjoy plenty of peace and quiet, or go on magnificent hiking and cycling tours. The Antwerp-Knokke road is just a few kilometers from the house. From this road Knokke and Bruges are easy to reach. Furthermore, Artevelde and Ghent are only 20 km away. From the apartment you can take wonderful bicycle trips to explore the polders of Zeeland Flanders. This apartment is also just 15 minutes from Knokke and Cadzand. Of course a walk along the beach should not be missed either!

This apartment is centrally located near Gent, Bruges and Antwerp and is suitable for a maximum of 16 persons. It is a luxurious family accommodation in a former 3-star hotel and is particularly suited for family weekends. The total area is more than 140 m2. The layout from the ground floor: a hall, spacious and very cozy living room, and a large dining area equipped with a kitchen (includes dishes and a dishwasher). The house has 7 bedrooms: 5 are double bedrooms. One of these bedrooms is furnished with a double bed. The other 4 are furnished with two single beds each. There is also a bedroom for 4 persons furnished with two king size beds. The latter bedroom is suitable for 4 persons. Deck beds and pillows are available. Bed and bath linen are available for rent. The apartment has a separate room for group activities; an enclosed, traffic-free playground for the children; a large car park; and a nice garden with a private terrace and garden furniture. Would you like to rent a bicycle? This is possible! Bicycle route access is available directly from the apartment.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

In the area of the apartment there are plenty of opportunities for excursions. A number of towns are easily accessible including Bruges (35 km), Ghent (30 km) and Antwerp (60 km). If the weather is not so good, there are a variety of museums at a distance of just 10 km. For example, the Beer Museum in Ertvelde; the Bardelaere Museum in Lembeke with its antique clothes and traditional costumes; the Jenever Museum in Eeklo; the Homeland Museum in Eeklo; the Mill Museum in Wachtebeke; and the Steam Train Museum in Maldegem. There is also an escargot breeder in Aardenburg who gives tours, and the Fishery Museum in Boekhoute is also interesting. The provincial domain, Puyenbroeck, with its magnificent entertainment, is just 15 km away. For beautiful hikes you can go into Lembeke Forest, in the Leen, with 216 hectares of woods.
