DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

Our renovated farmhous was originally built in the 19th century. It is now very well equipped, spacious and luxurious.
The living room(45m²)has its orignal oak roof beams and exposed stone walls ("pierre jaune") and a big orginal fireplace with a large wood-burning stove. You have the use of a satellite TV (you can receive more than a 100 channels)and a stereo-set with CD player Part of the living room is a large kitchen with refrigerator, stove with grill and hood, a coffee machine and dishwasher etc.

There are three bedrooms. The first double room is fitted in local 'Quercy style': a cupboard and double box spring bed (140cmx200cm) and it has an oak floor.
The second bedroom also has a double bed (140cmx200cm) and a cupboad.
There is also a bedroom with two single beds (80cmx200cm) and a double bed (140cmx200cm)as well as plenty of storage.
You have the use of a washing machine and an iron.
The bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, basin and bidet.

There is a garage and cellars under the farmhouse. The terraces are equipped with garden chairs and tables. A barbecue and parasol are available. The house gives you all the privacy, it is free standing on a property of 10 000m2 of land and wood.

There is also a very nice private swimming pool (8x4, with terrace) only for you and your family.(lots of privacy)

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

The department of the Lot is in the Quercy. This is a region bordering the Perigord to the north and the Auvergne to the east. South of the Quercy lies the Armagnac region.
Our gîte is north of the river Lot in an area called 'haute Quercy' and boasts a great variety of landscapes and culture. The climate is influenced by the Atlantic, the Pyrenees and the Massif Central, which leads to warm summers and mild winters. The holiday season can last from the beginning of March to the end of October. Autumn is an especially lovely time of year.
The valley of the Lot has both beautiful natural attractions and a lot of culture. It is one of the oldest inhabited areas in France. In 1999 prehistoric caves were discovered here.
The region is teeming with bird life, and you can find thousands of different insects and flowers. If you look carefully you'll find many different fossils.
These impressive surroundings guarantee a nice, relaxing holiday in the most beautiful part of France.
