DESCRIPTION & HOUSE PLAN

The entire house is available to rent - 9 rooms, or an independent three-room flat, which makes up the (third) floor of the house plus, as an option, a converted attic. The house is on a hill and therefore the first-floor at the back of the house is at garden level. It overlooks the River Seine, with its maritime traffic to Honfleur and Rouen.
It comprises:
Ground Floor: 1 large garage with automatic door, 1 small garage, plus possibility to park 2 or 3 cars in front of the house
First Floor:
Dining room with table for 12/14 people + additional tables as necessary;
Lounge with two settees, armchairs, TV/video/DVD/satellite connection, music centre;
Modern kitchen with dishwasher, standard oven, microwave/convector oven, 3 gas rings and 1 electric hotplate, refrigerator/freezer, and a breakfast bar for 4;
Laundry room with washing machine and ironing facilities and additional shower; WC.
Second Floor (sleeps 10)
Bedroom with double bed and double bed-settee and en-suite shower/WC/washbasin;
Bedroom with double bed and two single folding beds, suitable for children;
Double bedroom;
Large bathroom with bath, double washbasin and WC.
Third Floor apartment (sleeps 6) with attic (sleeps 5) as option
Lounge with comfortable convertible double bed-settee, dining table for 6/8, TV, video/DVD, satellite connection and music centre;
Bedroom with two singles (or can be used as one large double) bed;
One double bedroom;
Modern kitchen with standard oven plus a microwave/convector oven, 4 electric hotplates and dishwasher;
Bathroom with double washbasins, bath, separate shower and WC;
Laundry room with washing machine, ironing facilities and additional shower available for use on first floor, as well as a WC.
Converted Attic Five single beds, with a washbasin with hot/cold water. Not suitable for toddlers in view of the stairs which are fairly steep, although a safety door is available at the top of the stairs.
The property is extremely comfortable with electric fans available in summer, central heating throughout for winter, and decorative electric fires in the lounges.
Small garden behind house leading to terraces and swimming pool, 3m x 4.5m with powerful wave effect to swim against or massage. Outside barbecues (gas and charcoal), dining tables and chairs, tables and benches, sunloungers on terraces overlooking the estuary of the River beach supplied.

SURROUNDINGS & ACTIVITIES

The 17th century town of Honfleur is the eighth most visited site in France, coming behind St. Tropez in seventh place, with its Old Port is surrounded by old tall houses in narrow roads with over 100 art galleries and craft shops and as many restaurants. Several golf courses nearby, horseriding, butterfly park, tennis courts, swimming and paddling pools, children's activities.
In the area:
-Deauville and Trouville with their magnificant beaches, yacht marinas, markets, many childlren's activities, and casinos with shower and dinner-dances for adults.
-Horse racing at the two courses at Deauville, plus annual yearling sales and film festival;
-Several thallasso centres
-The D-Day beaches of the Second World War, and the American, British and German war cemetaries, Omaha Beach with 3,000 graves of American soldiers, the town of Arromanches, with relics of Churchill's floating port build for the DD landings; war museums at Caen and elsewhere;
- Lisieux, with its basilica dedicated to Ste Thérèse and home of the Carmel nuns
- Numerous châteaux and parks in the area
Further away:
- Mont St. Michel, the most visited town in France (2 hours' drive)
- Bayeaux, and its famous tapestries (1 hour)
- Rouen, large town of historical interest (Jeanne d'Arc) (1 hour)

PRICES AND PERIODS

Villa Camelia is available to rent all year, with the following possibilities:
- one unit sleeping up to 21 persons.
Price according to number of occupants. Prices mentioned below are for a group of 10 persons. Prices for larger groups (up to 21): please contact me.
- 3th-floor flat sleeping up to six persons
2 persons: 600 €
4 persons: 820 €
6 persons: 920 €
- 3th-floor flat + attic, sleeping up to 11 persons.
Up to 6 persons: 1,060 €
7 to 11 persons: 1,200 €

Bed linen and towels for bath and beach (according to season) supplied with the house, and all utilities (electricity, heating, water) are included. For large groups the "taxe de sejour" has to be in addition to the rent (0.76 euros per person per jour). For small groups (up to six) this will be taken out of the rent. A sum for housework will be deducted (15 euros/hour) if the house is not left reasonably clean and tidy. A cleaning service can be provided upon request. Breakfast can be supplied on request.
